About the event

This roughly 90-minute class will introduce the principles and practices needed to get started in mounted archery, including:

  • basic archery safety
  • speed loading
  • blind knocking
  • different draw techniques
  • target tracking
  • shooting while moving.

What to bring:

  • any archery gear you may have (we can review it during the clinic to determine if it is suitable for mounted archery or not)
  • a water bottle, as you will be on your feet and walking for an extended period

What to wear:

  • comfortable, close-fitting clothing; avoid dangling sleeves, ruffles, or anything loose that could easily get caught by the bowstring.
  • shoes suitable for walking around a horse farm (i.e. no sandals or open-toes)

Cost: $25 per person, which includes the rental of equipment for the clinic
