An introductory clinic for beginners to mounted archery. This class is entirely on the ground (no riding), and covers the basics of archery and speed-loading. This class is a pre-requisite for participation in any regular practice with Mounted Archers of the Potomac.

About the event
This roughly 90-minute class will introduce the principles and practices needed to get started in mounted archery, including:
- basic archery safety
- speed loading
- blind knocking
- different draw techniques
- target tracking
- shooting while moving.
What to bring:
- any archery gear you may have (we can review it during the clinic to determine if it is suitable for mounted archery or not)
- a water bottle, as you will be on your feet and walking for an extended period
What to wear:
- comfortable, close-fitting clothing; avoid dangling sleeves, ruffles, or anything loose that could easily get caught by the bowstring.
- shoes suitable for walking around a horse farm (i.e. no sandals or open-toes)
Cost: $25 per person, which includes the rental of equipment for the clinic
